Educational Qualification : 
I. a Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma in (Automobile) obtained from Technical Examination Board or any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institutions recognised as such or declared to be deemed as University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956;
II. The basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification, Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967: and
III. Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Age Limit :  
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 36 years

Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government guidelines:
- General Category Female Candidates: 5 Years (Max age 41)
- Reserved Category Male Candidates (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS): 5 Years (Max age 41)
